The senior litigation partner at Deutsch Atkins, P.C., Bruce L. Atkins has a deserved reputation as a leading employment law attorney. From the firm's office in Hackensack, New Jersey, he represents employees throughout the northern part of the state as well as in New York City in matters involving wrongful termination, workplace discrimination, executive severance agreements, Family and Medical Leave Act issues, wage and hour disputes arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act, sexual harassment and whistleblower retaliation. In one representative case, Mr. Atkins obtained a $6.5 million jury verdict in a discrimination case, which was one of the largest single-plaintiff discrimination awards in New Jersey history.

Mr. Atkins graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut in 1974. He then went on to attend Seton Hall University School of Law and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1977. After graduation, Mr. Atkins was a partner at area civil litigation firms before co-founding his current firm in 2006. Admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York and Florida, he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Highly regarded by his fellow attorneys, Mr. Atkins has received an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo.
