Jennifer Bretz is an attorney at Arons & Solomon, P.A., in Hackensack, New Jersey, where she concentrates her practice exclusively on matrimonial and family law. She received her Juris Doctor, with honors, from Rutgers University School of Law in Camden. During law school, she served as business editor of the Rutgers Law Journal, was published in the Spring 1997 edition, and volunteered with the Bankruptcy Pro Bono Project.
After passing both the New Jersey and Pennsylvania bar examinations, Ms. Bretz served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Amy Piro Chambers, Presiding Judge of the Civil Division in Middlesex County. She later practiced for more than a decade at a prominent law firm in the state, gaining broad legal experience before focusing her practice primarily on family law beginning in 2000.
Ms. Bretz has extensive litigation experience, including motions, trials, mediations, arbitrations and post-judgment proceedings. She is a certified mediator and volunteers on the Bergen County Early Settlement Panel. Her professional recognition includes being named one of the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys’ Ten Best Attorneys and a Top Lawyer in Bergen by peer review in (201) Magazine.
Outside of her practice, Ms. Bretz is deeply involved in community service and professional leadership. She is widely respected for her command of family law and her ability to navigate even the most contentious matters with clarity, strategy and composure.
