Joshua T. Buckner

Attorney Joshua T. Buckner is partner at Bremer & Buckner LLC in Hackensack, New Jersey, where he practices primarily matrimonial and family law, handling cases involving divorce, alimony, child support, custody, equitable distribution and other issues. He also has a robust criminal law practice, defending the rights of clients who have been accused of DUI, domestic violence and other criminal offenses. He has extensive experience representing young people accused of crimes in juvenile court. He represents clients throughout Bergen and Passaic counties.

Mr. Buckner has been practicing law for over two decades. In addition to representing private clients, he has served as a panelist for Bergen County’s Early Settlement Program, a court-affiliated mediation program that helps people to reach fair settlements in divorce. He is also a former chairman of the Supreme Court of New Jersey’s District IIB Fee Arbitration Committee.

Active in his legal community, Mr. Buckner is an active member of the Bergen County Bar Association. Among other honors he has received, Mr. Buckner was named a “top lawyer” by New Jersey Monthly, 201 and Bergen magazines.

Early in his career, Mr. Buckner honed his legal skills by clerking for a judge of the Bergen County Superior Court Family Division. He went on to practice at a private firm, eventually working his way up to partner before joining Bremer & Buckner LLC.

After graduating from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree in history, Mr. Buckner earned his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. He holds licenses to practice law before all New Jersey and New York state courts.
