Attorney Laura C. Sutnick is the founding partner of Sutnick & Sutnick, LLC, in Hackensack, New Jersey. She is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Criminal Trial Attorney. A seasoned lawyer, Ms. Sutnick handles a wide range of criminal defense cases, including those involving domestic violence, drug charges, DWI/DUI, juvenile offenses, sex crimes, violent crimes, shoplifting and theft. Ms. Sutnick represents clients both within Hackensack and throughout northern New Jersey, including Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Passaic counties. She is an officer of the Bergen County Bar Association.

After graduating with honors from Boston University, Ms. Sutnick earned a law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University. Following law school, Ms. Sutnick was employed as a senior trial attorney for the Kings County District Attorney's Office in Brooklyn, New York. Today, Ms. Sutnick is admitted to practice in the state courts of New Jersey and New York, as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Ms. Sutnick is on the Executive Board of the Bergen County Bar Association and is currently serving as First Vice President. She is the chair of the Judicial Performance Committee, co-chair of the Judicial Selection Committee and she sits on the Judicial Appointments Committee. In addition, Ms. Sutnick sits on the Bench-Bar committee which meets with the Bergen County Presiding Judge on a bi-monthly basis. On behalf of the BCBA, Ms. Sutnick regularly communicates with members of the judiciary, elected officials and local prosecutor's office in order to discuss and resolve issues relevant and important to BCBA members.

Enthusiastic about sharing her legal knowledge, Ms. Sutnick has appeared as a commentator on Court TV. She served as a moot court trial adviser for the Northern Valley Regional High School at Demarest and as a trial skills adviser for the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law Intensive Trial Advocacy Program. She also spent three years as a skills adviser for the Mount Olive Baptist Church Youth Mentoring Program.
