Details

Mitchell Arons is a founding attorney of Arons & Solomon, P.A., in Hackensack, New Jersey, where he has devoted his practice exclusively to matrimonial and family law for more than three decades. Since 1991, he has represented clients in complex family law matters involving divorce, alimony, child custody and support, asset division, domestic violence, prenuptial and cohabitation agreements, and post-divorce disputes. He is widely respected in the legal community for his ability to resolve cases through negotiation, litigation, mediation and collaborative law.

Mr. Arons earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with honors in economics, and received his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law in 1987. Following law school, he returned to northern New Jersey to serve as a law clerk to the Honorable Andrew Napolitano of the Superior Court, a prestigious appointment that helped shape his analytical and courtroom skills. Early in his career, he practiced real estate and transactional law at a prominent Paramus-based law firm, gaining valuable business and financial experience that continues to inform his family law practice.

In 1994, Mr. Arons co-founded the firm with Marion Solomon, establishing a firm dedicated exclusively to family law. That same year, he became a certified mediator and has since played a central role in advancing alternative dispute resolution in Bergen County. He has served as chairman of the Bergen County Settlement Panel for more than 20 years and is a founding member of the Collaborative Divorce Association of North Jersey, which he co-founded in 2006 to promote respectful, transparent resolution of matrimonial disputes.

Mr. Arons is actively involved in numerous professional organizations, including the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Bergen County Bar Association, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.

Known for his thoughtful counsel and steady advocacy, Mr. Arons is committed to helping clients navigate family law matters with clarity, dignity and effective legal strategy. He is respected by clients and peers alike for his thoughtful advocacy, deep experience and skill in resolving even the most complex family law matters.
