Steven B. Cohen

As an associate attorney with the Moskowitz Law Group, LLC, in Hackensack, New Jersey, Steven B. Cohen focuses his practice exclusively on family law and other related matters. Serving clients throughout Bergen County and the surrounding areas, Mr. Cohen provides compassionate, effective representation to individuals and families facing legal challenges involving any of the following:

• Divorce
• Child custody and support
• Property division
• Spousal support and maintenance
• Post-judgment modifications and enforcements
• Other domestic relations issues

A 2008 graduate of The College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice, Mr. Cohen attended Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in Long Island, obtaining his Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 2012. That same year, the New Jersey State Bar Association admitted him to practice, and the New York State Bar Association admitted him in 2015.

In law school, Mr. Cohen participated in the Touro Family Law Clinic, representing indigent clients with their matrimonial and family law needs. He also received a number of awards, including the Moot Court Honor Society Membership of Distinction Award, four CALI awards and an award for his exemplary contributions to the quality of student life.

Passionate about advocating for children's rights, he interned with several area municipal offices and agencies, including the Mercer County, New Jersey, Juvenile Probation Office and the Queens County Administration for Children's Services, among others.

Committed to his practice, Mr. Cohen is actively involved with the New York State Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association as well as the Bergen County Bar Association. In recognition for his service and professionalism, the American Institute of Legal Counsel named him as one of the 10 Best Under 40 for 2016.
