Mr. Novel received his law degree from Rutgers University School of Law in Newark, where he competed in the mock trial program and interned at the Office of the Federal Public Defender. After Mr. Novel graduated from law school he served as the law clerk to the Honorable John A. Young, Jr., J.S.C. in Hudson County's Criminal Division.​

Mr. Novel's practice focuses on litigation in municipal, state and federal courts. Mr. Novel has tried numerous cases with charges ranging from murder to official misconduct.
