Rebecca L. Rakoski is the co-founder and managing partner at XPAN Law Partners in Marlton, New Jersey. Representing clients across New York and New Jersey, she handles all aspects of technology transactions, healthcare, international law and mergers and acquisitions. Throughout her career, she has counseled and defended public and private corporations in data breaches and helped them in state/federal regulatory compliance and enforcement actions. She has extensively worked with the healthcare, gaming and manufacturing industries and helped them with cyber and privacy issues.
Ms. Rakoski’s legal forte includes complex cybersecurity, data privacy and cross-border data transfer issues. With a deep understanding of the law and a passion for advocacy, she assists her clients in mitigating their litigation risks. Before pursuing a career in law, Ms. Rakoski completed her bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Washington College in 2000. Later, she received her Juris Doctor from Widener University Delaware Law School and was admitted to practice law in New Jersey in 2003. Her practice has now expanded to include New York and Pennsylvania, along with the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit.
