Alexis N. Laufer

A Partner at Laufer, Dalena, Jensen & Doran, LLC, in Morristown, New Jersey, Alexis N. Laufer brings over 15 years of dedicated practice to the field of family law. She navigates clients through a spectrum of cases, from straightforward divorces to complex, high-net-worth disputes, including asset division, child custody and alienation, support modifications, marital agreements, grandparents’ rights and domestic violence litigation.

As a litigator, Alexis is a zealous advocate for her clients, educating and empowering them through the difficult process of divorces and child custody disputes.  Alexis works closely with her clients, providing each client with focused, one-on-one attention. She takes a determined, strategic, yet settlement focused approach on all cases. Alexis works closely with forensic accountants, therapists, private and financial investigators, and vocational experts.

Alexis is also a certified mediator.  Taking a compassionate approach to what is often one of life’s most challenging chapters sets her apart.  Recognizing the emotional toll, she provides unwavering support, advocacy and resolution.  Building on empathy and delivering results, Ms. Laufer is available to assist parties in resolving their cases at the least possible financial and emotional cost, which enables parties to exit their relationships in a peaceful manner for the benefit of their children. 

Alexis received her Juris Doctorate degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2008, and her Bachelor's Degree from James Madison University in 2005.  During law school, Alexis was Senior Articles Editor and won Best Brief at the Gressman Moot Court Competition.  Following law school, Alexis began her specialty in Family Law with a judicial clerkship under the guidance of the Honorable Maureen P. Sogluizzo, J.S.C. a Superior Court Judge specializing in the Family Division in Hudson County, New Jersey.

Alexis is a Certified Mediator, Early Settlement Panelist, and a member of the Family Law Inns of Court.  She is also a member of the Morris County Bar Association and New Jersey Bar Association.  In addition, Alexis volunteers her time as a member and former Vice President of the West Morris Junior Women’s Club, and serves as a pro bono attorney for JBWS – Battered Women’s Legal Advocacy Project.
