Linda Mainenti Walsh, established her practice Linda Mainenti Walsh, Esq., LLC in Morristown, New Jersey in August 2018, where she continues to focus on Divorce, Family Law and related matters. Previously, she was of counsel with Ceconi & Cheifetz, LLC (practice dedicated to Family Law), of counsel in the Family Law Group at Sills Cummis & Gross, P.C. Prior to that time she was of counsel with Einhorn, Harris, Ascher, Barbarito & Frost, P.C. where she practiced for over 15 years. She has devoted her career to the practice of Family Law. She is a former law clerk to the Honorable B. Theodore Bozonelis, Morris County, Superior Court, Family Part, and has been practicing law over 30 years.

Ms. Mainenti Walsh is admitted to practice in New Jersey, before the United State District Court for the District of New Jersey and the United States Supreme Court.

In 2016, Ms. Mainenti Walsh was selected to become a member of the Morris County Bar Association Professionalism Committee and she continues to serve on this committee. In November, 2017 she was a speaker/presenter for the professionalism program regarding ethics and gender bias at the Morris County Bar Association's annual Legalpalooza CLE.

She served as 2013 co-chair of the Morris County Bar Association Family Law Committee. She coordinated and presented the following programs as co-chair of the Family Law Section: “How to Get Paid”; “Family Law Motion Practice”; and “Demystifying Business Valuations”.

She served the maximum two two-year terms as Trustee to the Morris County Bar Association. In that capacity, she chaired, developed, coordinated and presented the 2011 and 2012 911 Day of Service program, a day-long event wherein over several hours attorneys from various practice areas presented overviews of the law and procedure and interacted with the community.

Ms. Mainenti Walsh serves as a Morris County Matrimonial Early Settlement Panelist for over 20 years. She serves as a Blue Ribbon Panelist for that Program, selected by the Court to handle complex, difficult matters. She has also served as a volunteer for the Morris County Bar Association’s Self-Help Resource Center, the Morris County Court Family Justice Center and participated as a speaker and attorney volunteer for the 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 Annual Hispanic Community Affairs Law Outreach program.

She is currently the Secretary of the Morris County Bar Foundation, sixth term. She is a member of the Morris County Bar Association Mentor Program Committee and participated in its creation and operation. The program has become a county pilot program for the State.

Since Ms. Mainenti Walsh has served as a co-advisor for the Morris County Explorers in Law program sponsored by the Morris County Bar Foundation and Boy Scouts of America, a program for high school students interested in careers in law which meets monthly throughout the school year and presents a yearly Symposium.

She is a former Chair appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court of the District X Ethics Committee (1999-2000), Vice-Chair (1998-1999) and a member/investigator of the Committee for 2 years.

In 2019, Ms. Mainenti Walsh was appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court to serve as a member of the District X Fee Arbitration Committee to serve on that committee as panel member and panel chair and now serves as Vice-Chair of the Committee.

Ms. Mainenti Walsh has recently completed her 6th 2-year term (maximum permitted) as a member of the Supreme Court Committee on Women in the Courts and she has served on the Survey Committee (developing a survey on bias in the Courts) and as co-chair of the Bar Education Sub-Committee.  As co-chair, Ms. Mainenti Walsh makes presentations to Bar organizations throughout the State. In June 2019, she presented on behalf of the Committee a program on Gender Bias to Trial Attorneys of New Jersey (TANJ). In addition, she presented programs on Gender Bias to Atlantic County Bar Association, Gloucester County Bar Association and Warral Mountain Inn of Court.

She served a  2-year term as is a Trustee of the Women in the Profession Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association and has recently been appointed as Secretary to the Committee.

May 2017 through May 2019, Ms. Mainenti Walsh served a 2-year term as an appointed member of the NJSBA Nominating Committee.

Fall 2018, Ms. Mainenti Walsh was selected to serve as a member of the NJSBA Paralegal Committee and NJSBA Law Education Committee.

In June 2019, she was appointed by NJSBA President to Chair the NJSBA Law Education Committee and is currently serving a second term in that position.

She has recently been selected to serve as a trustee on the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association (2020/2021). She previously served as a trustee 2014/2015 term.

In addition, she is a Master of the Barry Croland North New Jersey Family Law Inn of Court where she has been a member since 2003. 

Ms. Mainenti Walsh served as a member of the County College of Morris Corporate and Community Programs Division Advisory Board.

Ms. Mainenti Walsh was a member of the National Association of Women Judges and served as a CLE compliance volunteer at its Symposium held in Newark, NJ in October 2011.

Ms. Mainenti Walsh was an adjunct professor for the Legal Studies Department of Montclair State University and has served as an instructor for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) Attorney Ethics Skills and Methods Courses in Family Law and Professional Responsibility and Ethics and has lectured for the State Bar, December 2010 Is Palimony Dead? and Morris County Bar on Family Law and Ethics issues.

Appearing as a guest expert on Law Journal TV, Linda has also been published in Divorce Magazine Fall/Winter 2005 edition and Fall/Winter 2011 edition.
