Linda Mainenti Walsh, established her practice Linda Mainenti Walsh, Esq., LLC in Morristown, New Jersey in August 2018, where she continues to focus on Divorce, Family Law and related matters. Previously, she was of counsel with Ceconi & Cheifetz, LLC (practice dedicated to Family Law), of counsel in the Family Law Group at Sills Cummis & Gross, P.C. Prior to that time she was of counsel with Einhorn, Harris, Ascher, Barbarito & Frost, P.C. where she practiced for over 15 years. She has devoted her career to the practice of Family Law. She served as Secretary of the Morris County Bar Foundation for seven terms and is currently Treasurer of the Foundation. She is co-chair of the Morris County Bar Association Mitchell H. Cobert Mentor Program Committee and participated in its creation and operation. The program has become a county pilot program for the State.

In 2016, Ms. Mainenti Walsh was selected to become a member of the Morris County Bar Association Professionalism Committee and she continues to serve on this committee. In November, 2017 she was a speaker/presenter for the Professionalism program regarding ethics and gender bias at the Morris County Bar Association's annual Legalpalooza CLE. She has served on the Legalpalooza Planning Committee and has Co-Chaired the Professionalism Committee Program Committee to develop and assemble the panel/program for the 2021, 2022 and 2024 (upcoming) Professionalism programs and served as a co-moderator for the programs.

She served as 2013 co-chair of the Morris County Bar Association Family Law Committee.

She served the maximum two two-year terms as Trustee to the Morris County Bar Association. In that capacity, she chaired, developed, coordinated and presented the 2011 and 2012 911 Day of Service program, a day-long event wherein over several hours attorneys from various practice areas presented overviews of the law and procedure and interacted with the community.

Ms. Mainenti Walsh serves as a Morris County Matrimonial Early Settlement Panelist for over 25 years. She also serves as a Blue Ribbon Panelist for that Program, selected by the Court to handle complex, difficult matters. She has also served as a volunteer for the Morris County Bar Association’s Self-Help Resource Center, the Morris County Court Family Justice Center and participated as a speaker and attorney volunteer for the 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 Annual Hispanic Community Affairs Law Outreach program.

2012 – 2019 Ms. Mainenti Walsh has served as a co-advisor for the Morris County Explorers in Law program sponsored by the Morris County Bar Foundation and Boy Scouts of America, a program for high school students interested in careers in law which meets monthly throughout the school year and presents a yearly Symposium.

Ms. Mainenti Walsh is serving a third term by appointment of the New Jersey Supreme Court as Chair of the District X Fee Arbitration Committee 2022/2023, 2021/2022, and 2023/2024 terms. She previously began her appointment to the Committee in 2019, serving as Vice-Chair, panel member and panel chair. 

She is a former Chair, appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court, of the District X Ethics Committee (1999-2000), Vice-Chair (1998-1999) and a member/investigator of the Committee for 2 years.

After serving a five 2-year terms as an appointed member of the Supreme Court Committee on Women in the Courts, by special appointment by the New Jersey Supreme Court in April 2018, Ms. Mainenti Walsh was appointed to serve an additional 2-year term. She served as the Co-Chair of the Committee’s Bar Education subcommittee. In that capacity, Ms. Mainenti Walsh developed, coordinated and presented programs to Bar organizations and Inns of Court throughout the State, the annual NJSBA Convention each year 2011-2018, the NJ Courts Judiciary Institute for Staff Attorneys, and Trial Attorneys of New Jersey on issues of gender and racial bias in the legal profession, in the practice and in the Courts.

Ms. Mainenti Walsh is the Immediate Past Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association Women in the Profession Section where she served as Chair (2023/2024 term). She previously served a 2 term as a Trustee, Secretary, Vice-Chair and Chair-Elect of the Section. 

May 2017 through May 2019, Ms. Mainenti Walsh served a 2-year term as an appointed member of the NJSBA Nominating Committee.

Ms. Mainenti Walsh is Co-Chair of the NJSBA Lawyer Well-Being Committee, appointed by NJ State Bar President 2024/2025, 2023/2023 terms.

Ms. Mainenti Walsh was appointed by the NJSBA as a member of the NJSBA Paralegal Committee 2022/2023, 2023/2024 terms. Additionally, she has been appointed and serves as a member of the NJSBA Diversity Committee.

She currently serves (appointed by NJSBA President) as Co-Chair of the NJSBA Legal Education Committee. She was personally appointed to serve as Co-Chair for the 2019/2020 to 2020/2021 terms. 

She has been selected to serve as a trustee on the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association (2023/2024). She previously served as a trustee 2014/2015, 2020/2021, 2021/2022, 2022/2023 terms.

She is a member of the NJSBA Solo and Small Firm Section.

She served on the 2022 New Jersey State Bar Foundation Medal of Honor Awards Dinner Committee.

Ms. Mainenti Walsh was an adjunct professor for the Legal Studies Department of Montclair State College and has served as an instructor for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) Attorney Ethics Skills and Methods Courses in Family Law and Professional Responsibility and Ethics and has frequently served as speaker and moderator for the State Bar and Morris County Bar Associations on Family Law, Bias, and Professionalism/Ethics issues.
