Patrick B. Minter

Patrick B. Minter, an experienced and well-respected litigator, oversees the civil litigation cases at Donnelly Minter & Kelly, LLC representing clients in both the federal and state courts of New Jersey. Mr. Minter concentrates primarily in the areas of commercial litigation, general insurance defense, and professional liability defense. Several opinions have been published as a result of the malpractice cases Mr. Minter has litigated.

Mr. Minter graduated cum laude from Providence College in 1991 before obtaining his law degree from Widener University School of Law in 1994. That same year, Mr. Minter was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Minter clerked for The Honorable Rocco L. D’Ambrosio, J.S.C. and successfully completed the Intensive Trial Advocacy Program at the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. Mr. Minter frequently lectures at New Jersey’s Institute for Continuing Legal Education and co-authors “Avoiding Legal Malpractice,” an annual program.

The former Chairman of the Morris Country Chancery Practice Committee and former Co-Chair of the Morris County General Equity Mediation Committee, Mr. Minter has also served on the District X Fee Arbitration Committee as Chairman. He has been included on the list of AV Preeminent lawyers from Martindale-Hubbell since 2010.
