Attorney Laura K. Gasiorowski is a founding partner of Stahl Gasiorowski, with three decades of experience practicing criminal defense. She has focused her career on complex white collar criminal defense, representing individuals and small corporations charged with healthcare fraud, wire and mail fraud, securities fraud, insider trading, computer fraud, money laundering, public corruption and bribery. Ms. Gasiorowski also provides representation to doctors, pharmacists, financial professionals and small companies in government enforcement actions, SEC and FINRA investigations, and in complex internal investigations. Selected by the Judges of the District of New Jersey as a Criminal Justice Act attorney, Ms. Gasiorowski represents indigent defendants charged with racketeering (RICO), murder and assault (VICAR), drug trafficking, gambling, firearms offenses, fraud, theft, and human trafficking.
Ms. Gasiorowski approaches each case as if she were representing a family member, challenging the government with aggressive motion practice, creative legal arguments, and relentless investigation of facts and law. She is adept at handling high profile cases, understanding the undue pressures placed on her clients and the need to limit the potentially adverse consequences of intense public interest.
A frequent lecturer for the NJ State bar, Ms. Gasiorowski lectures on the intersection of criminal and immigration law, and on representing non-citizens charged with crimes. She also co-chaired Tulane's acclaimed Criminal Pretrial Litigation Bootcamp, teaching each year at this practical skills course, and guest lectures on Plea Negotiations for Juveniles and Defendants with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities at Tulane Law's Plea Negotiation Class. A former Trustee, she is now Vice President for the Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys of New Jersey, and a member of the White Collar Women's Criminal Defense Attorney association in New Jersey and the New York City Bar Association. She also proudly provides pro bono legal services for low income special education students as a Volunteer Attorney for Mobilization for Justice.
Ms. Gasiorowski earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with honors, cum laude, from Tulane University Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana. Admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey and Louisiana, Ms. Gasiorowski represents her clients in state and federal courts across the country. She is admitted to the United States District Court for New Jersey, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Third Circuit and Sixth Circuit.
