Ruchika Hira

Ruchika Hira is a partner attorney at Hira & Strlovski, LLC, a boutique law firm based in Parsippany, New Jersey, known for its family law services. With more than a decade of experience and knowledge in hand, she has been practicing law in New Jersey since 2010. Committed to helping families and individuals, over the years she has assisted numerous clients with their issues requiring a legal solution, including divorce, child support, grandparents’ visitation rights, alimony, domestic violence matters and complex financial matters involving asset tracing and business valuations.

In addition to being a litigator, Ms. Hira is also a certified family law mediator by the Harvard Negotiation Institute. Putting her certification in mediating disputes to use, she advises and encourages her clients to settle issues outside court whenever possible, offering them a cost-effective and speedy resolution.

Understanding the emotional nature of family law matters, Ms. Hira takes time with each of her clients and strives to first be a pillar of support rather than just a legal adviser. She prioritizes creating a safe and comfortable environment for her clients, where they can openly express their concerns and seek not only legal advice but also emotional guidance. Being fluent in three languages, including English, Hindi and Punjabi, helps her connect deeply with her clients.

An honors scholar at New York University, Ms. Hira graduated in 2004 with her bachelor’s degree. She earned her doctorate in jurisprudence from Rutgers Law School in 2008. Here, she actively participated in various events and held positions in various associations as well, including being the marketing editor of the university’s Journal of Law and Public Policy.
