Sara B. Cohen

Sara B. Cohen is a family law attorney at Petrelli Previtera, LLC, in Princeton, New Jersey. Ms. Cohen represents clients in Princeton and the surrounding areas in divorce, alimony, child custody, child support, equitable distribution, prenuptial agreements and other issues in family law. 

After graduating from Rutgers University–New Brunswick, Ms. Cohen went on to earn her law degree from Rutgers Law School, Newark. She acquired her initial legal experience during law school by serving as a judicial intern and as co-editor of the Women’s Rights Law Reporter. 

Upon her graduation from law school, Ms. Cohen passed the New Jersey bar examination and obtained her license to practice law before all New Jersey state courts. She began her legal career clerking and practicing at a private New Jersey-based family law firm, before joining Petrelli Previtera, LLC.

Ms. Cohen has practiced family law for her entire legal career. She is a committed and strong advocate for each client and prides herself on giving each case personal attention. She knows her clients are going through a difficult time in their lives, and she provides counsel and guidance to help them move forward to a fresh start. 

In addition to serving the needs of her family law clients, Ms. Cohen is active in many professional and community activities. She is a member of the Monmouth Bar Association, the Ocean County Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Family Law Section and Young Lawyers Division. She also volunteers her time to animal rescue organizations.
