Anna-Maria Pittella

Attorney Anna-Maria Pittella is the founder and owner of Anna-Maria Pittella, Esq., in Red Bank, New Jersey. Focusing primarily on out of court resolution of  family law issues in premarital relationships , divorce and separation, Ms. Pittella has more than 47 years of legal experience. She provides practical, creative  counsel and support to clients throughout Monmouth and Ocean counties as well as other parts of New Jersey to those who are seeking to avoid court intervention and move forward in their lives.  Where there are children, her goal  is to offer parents the opportunity to engage in a meaningful and effective parenting and financial  plan that will support their relationship with their children for years to come.

An accredited mediator and collaborative family practitioner, Ms. Pittella has achieved notable success helping her clients resolve their conflicts and reach favorable agreements without the need for expensive, acrimonious and time-consuming litigation. As a founding member of the Jersey Shore Collaborative Law Group and the New Jersey Council of Collaborative Law Groups, and participant in the passage of the  New Jersey Family Collaborative Law Act, she has become a pioneer in initiating collaborative law in the state, and she routinely provides collaborative law training to other attorneys across her region.

In addition to family law, Ms. Pittella also handles estate planning and real estate law, and no matter the issues her clients are facing or the goals they wish to achieve, she delivers the highly personalized counsel they need to make the best-informed decisions as she works hard to help them obtain the positive results they seek as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.

Honored for her outstanding professionalism and service, Ms. Pittella has received the 2013 Commitment, Leadership and Vision Award from the Jersey Shore Collaborative Law Group. She is also the recipient of the 2010 New Jersey Business Woman of the Year Award from the Ocean Monmouth Chapter of the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners as well as the 2009 Professionalism Award from the Ocean County Bar Association and the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism.

A 1970 graduate of Marymount College (now Fordham University), Ms. Pittella obtained her Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1973. She has served as president of the Ocean County Bar Association, the Jersey Shore Collaborative Law Group, and the NJ Council of Collaborative Practice Groups.  She participated in the movement and hearings for the passage of the NJ Family Law Collaborative Act which provided protection of confidentiality by privilege to the couples who signed a Participation Agreement.   She has served on the Ethics Committee for the Ocean County Bar Association and  International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. Ms. Pittella has served in a number of leadership roles along on various other committees of the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, the Monmouth and Ocean Bar Associations and the New Jersey State Bar Association, Jersey Shore Collaborative Law Group, Collaborative Divorce Professionals and Monmouth County Collaborative Divorce & Meditation Professionals.
