Irene Shor

Irene Shor is the founding attorney of Irene Shor, Esq. LLC, located in Red Bank, New Jersey, where she focuses her practice on family law and civil litigation. At her firm, she provides hands-on representation for clients navigating divorce, custody, support and related contested matters, combining courtroom readiness with an emphasis on individualized client care.

Originally raised in New York City, Ms. Shor completed her undergraduate studies at Binghamton University from 1993 to 1997, majoring in literature and rhetoric with a minor in Russian language and literature. She went on to earn her J.D. from Rutgers University Camden School of Law, graduating in 2000 at the age of 24, a period that solidified her commitment to advocacy and rigorous legal analysis.

Early professional experience included a highly sought clerkship with the Honorable James B. Convery, then the presiding matrimonial judge in Essex County, New Jersey. Ms. Shor thereafter practiced family law in New York City and northern New Jersey, gaining extensive experience handling contested hearings, settlement negotiations and case strategy before relocating her practice to Monmouth County.

In 2020, Ms. Shor launched Irene Shor, Esq. LLC, after two decades of practice, intending to deliver a more personal brand of service where clients have direct access to their attorney and receive tailored attention throughout the life of a matter. Her approach emphasizes clear communication, practical problem-solving and preparedness for court when litigation is necessary to protect clients’ interests.

Outside the office, Ms. Shor has participated in settlement panels for the Monmouth County Bar Association and has been called upon by the courts to serve as an intensive settlement panelist, roles that reflect her experience with negotiated resolutions. She maintains professional affiliations with the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Monmouth Bar Association, and she serves on the Family Law Committee for the latter organization.

At home in Monmouth County, Ms. Shor integrates strong family values into her practice and welcomes prospective clients to discuss their legal needs with compassion, clarity and a focus on achievable results.
