A Partner with Hartman & Winnicki, P.C., Richard L. Ravin handles a variety of civil litigation, appeals, and business matters in New Jersey, New York and other jurisdictions.  The head of the Ridgewood-based firm's Internet, Technology and Intellectual Property Law Practice Areas, Mr. Ravin handles cases inluding, trademark and copyright infringement, online defamation and injury to reputation, domain name disputes, and cybersquatting. Mr. Ravin also  prosecutes trademark applications, drafts and counsels on web development agreements, Terms of Service and Privacy Policies, and Digital Millennium Copyright Act.  In addition, Mr. Ravin provides representation in commercial and contract litigation, as well as bankruptcy and debtor's and creditor's ato rights.  His business experience includes the preparation of shareholder, operating and employment agreements, mergers and acquisitions, and the provision of general advice and counsel. Mr. Ravin is also provides litigation counsel to personal represenatives (executors/administrators) of decedents’ estates and trustees of testamentary and inter vivos trusts in will and trust contests in probate actions, and beneficiaries in probate actions, including actions for removal of fiduciaries, undue influence of fiduciaries, beneficiry claims, disputes over wills, litigation involving property and business interests owned by estates and trusts in multiple jurisdictions in court, arbitration and mediation.  In addition, Mr. Ravin counsels on Fiduciary Access to Digital Access.

Mr. Ravin received his B.S. degree from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Syracuse University, and received his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law in 1986. After graduation, Mr. Ravin served as a judicial clerkship with the Presiding Judge For Adminstration in the New Jersey Appellate Division, before entering private practice. Mr. Ravin is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, Florida, and the District of Columbia. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Third and Eighth Circuits
