Details
Peter M. O’Mara founded The O'Mara Law Firm to serve persons accused of crimes in New Jersey. He primarily handles criminal defense cases, which include DUI and refusal, criminal offenses, municipal court offenses, juvenile offenses and drug offenses.
In 1989, Peter M. O’Mara completed his degrees in political science and sociology at Villanova University. He then completed his law degree at The Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law. While still in law school, he interned for the Staten Island District Attorney and the Dauphin County District Attorney. He has been licensed to practice in New Jersey since 1993.
Mr. O’Mara has served the people of New Jersey for more than 30 years. He is most well-known for the impressive verdicts he secured for clients accused of sex crimes, internet fraud, violent crime and juvenile offenses. He fights hard to preserve his clients' innocence and to get convicted persons the second chances they deserve.
His hard work and dedication led to the American Institute of DUI/DWI Attorneys awarding him among the 10 Best Attorneys for Client Satisfaction. Some of the additional awards earned by Peter M. O’Mara and his law firm include rankings among the Best of the Best Attorneys, America's Top 100 Attorneys and The National Trial Lawyers Top 100.
Peter M. O’Mara continues to fight for his community even outside of work. Some of his pro bono activities include serving as the director for the Surfer's Environmental Alliance and serving on the District IX Ethics Committee of the Supreme Court of New Jersey.
