Andrew B. Smith

Andrew focuses his practice on civil litigation and criminal law. Andrew has experience in all aspects of civil litigation, from personal injury cases to complex commerical litigations.  Andrew is also well versed in appellate practice, having petitioned for certiorari before the United States Supreme Court, and filed appeals to the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the New Jersey Appellate Division.  He also has experience in sports law.

Between college and law school, Andrew served for four years as an Artillery Officer in the United States Army deploying to overseas locations such as Bosnia and South Korea and rising to the rank of Captain. After law school he clerked for the Honorable Sybil R. Moses, A.J.S.C. before joining the business and commercial litigation department of Gibbons P.C. Andrew has interned for the Rochester District Attorney’s office and the Department of Justice, Bureau of Prisons, Metropolitan Correction Center in New York, New York. Andrew has strong ties to his community and is active in numerous civic and political activities, most recently running for Union County Freeholder.
