James J. Curry, Jr.

New Jersey native James J. Curry Jr. founded his Toms River law office, James J. Curry Jr., Attorney at Law, with the goal of providing high-quality legal services to the residents of Toms River and surrounding Ocean County who have suffered personal injuries due to the negligence of other individuals, businesses or professionals. In addition, he also assists clients with other legal matters, including estate litigation, estate planning and elder law.
Mr. Curry began his legal career after earning his Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law. In 1968, the State of New Jersey approved him to practice law, and, in 1970, New York state followed suit. In 1974, Mr. Curry earned a Master of Laws from New York University School of Law, and, in 1976, the U.S. Supreme Court approved him to practice law in its courtroom.
Since the beginning of attorney Curry's  50-year career, he has earned a reputation for being a leader in his chosen practice areas. He earned a certification in elder law from New York University's School of Professional Studies in 2002, and the New Jersey Board of Attorney Certification lists him as certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a civil trial attorney. He has been recertified continuously through 2028, In addition, Mr. Curry is peer-rated as AV Preeminent* according to Martindale-Hubbell.
Mr. Curry is an active participant in the legal community and an avid contributor on legal topics. He is a regular guest speaker at legal seminars, guest lecturer at the National Business Institute and the New York University Summer Institute in Taxation, and even appeared as a guest on The Phil Donahue Show. In addition, he is a member of a number of legal organizations, including the National and New Jersey American Association of Justice and the New Jersey State Bar Association. Mr. Curry serves on the New Jersey Bar Association Medical Malpractice Committee.

In 2016 Mr. Curry was honored by the Ocean County Bar Association with it's Achievement Award for excellence in the practice of law.
