Elsie Gonzalez

Elsie Gonzalez is an associate attorney at the Cipriano Law Offices, P.C., in West Caldwell, New Jersey. For nearly a decade, she has been providing comprehensive and meaningful family legal counsel to her clients in legal matters involving divorce, parenting time, spousal maintenance, child support, separation and property settlement agreements, domestic violence and sexual abuse, post-judgment modifications, prenuptial agreements and palimony.

Majoring in political science and government, Ms. Gonzalez completed her bachelor’s degree at New Jersey City University in 2008. She earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Seton Hall University School of Law in 2013. She is licensed to practice law in New Jersey (2013), New York and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Early in her career, Ms. Gonzalez gained valuable legal experience in family law by serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Lisa P. Thornton in Monmouth County and for the Honorable Alberto Rivas in the Middlesex area. She later interned for a few judges at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Furthermore, she offered services at the Family Law Clinic at the Seton Hall University School of Law and worked at a boutique family law firm.

These multilayered experiences provide Ms. Gonzalez the ability to efficiently handle the most complicated set of cases. As a result, she has received several positive testimonials from her satisfied clients. She also authored several articles for the Yudes Family Law Citator, a yearly handbook used by New Jersey family law attorneys.
