Joseph G. Perone

Attorney Joseph G. Perone is a partner at Deitch & Perone, PC, a law firm with offices in West Long Branch and Scotch Plains, New Jersey. Mr. Perone practices family law, working with matters involving divorce, child custody and visitation, child support, same-sex couples and more. He also represents clients in personal injury and workers' compensation matters. His practice serves individuals in New Jersey's Monmouth, Middlesex and Ocean counties.

A graduate of Rutgers University, Mr. Perone earned his law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University in New York City, New York. As a law student, he served as a staff member of the Cardozo Journal of Law and Gender and also gained experience as a legal intern for a judge in Bergen County, New Jersey. He also participated in the Bet Tzedek Legal Services clinic and the New York Legal Assistance Group.

Mr. Perone has been admitted to practice in the state courts of New Jersey and also before the U.S. District Court for the district of New Jersey since 2000. He served as an associate at two other law firms before joining the Law Office of Tanis B. Deitch, Esq., in 2004. Two years later, that firm became the partnership of Deitch & Perone, PC.

Active in professional organizations, Mr. Perone participates in the Haydn Proctor Inn of Court, an association devoted to improving the quality of legal representation and civility within the profession. He also holds memberships in the Monmouth Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association. He is an active member of the American Association for Justice, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving a fair and equitable justice system.
