Ms. Berse completed her undergraduate studies at New York University, graduating with her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. Working as an auditor in New York City, vice president of finance for a real estate company, and then owning her own real estate company, she found her true calling in law and enrolled at New York Law School. After receiving her Juris Doctor, she obtained her license to practice in New Jersey state courts in 2004, and in 2017 before the US Supreme Court.

A consummate professional through and through, Ms. Berse has made consistent efforts to keep herself updated within her legal industry, with certifications in Mediation for Family Law Training and Collaborative Law Training. In addition, she is a member of the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
