Details

As managing partner at Falk, Flotteron & Davidson, LLP, in Woodbridge, New Jersey, Jacob P. Davidson has built a distinguished career around a wide-ranging practice that spans estate planning, business law, landlord-tenant disputes, municipal court matters, complex litigation, land use issues and transactional negotiations. Licensed to practice in both New Jersey and New York, he leads the firm's civil litigation and real estate groups, guiding clients through some of the most consequential legal challenges they will face.

Mr. Davidson's path to the top of his firm began modestly, as a law clerk working alongside the very partners whose names now share the letterhead with his own. Through years of dedicated advocacy and steady growth, he rose through the ranks to assume the role of managing partner, a testament to both his legal acumen and his commitment to the firm's clients and values. His academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from the University of Hartford and a Juris Doctor with honors from Hofstra Law School, credentials that inform his clear, persuasive approach to both courtroom advocacy and client counsel.

A consummate professional, Mr. Davidson's trial record speaks for itself, highlighted by a week-long jury trial in 2026 that concluded with a six-figure verdict matching the exact demand sought at trial. His professional accomplishments have not gone unnoticed: he received the New Jersey State Bar Association's Young Lawyer of the Year Award for 2025-2026, earned the NJSBA Young Lawyers Division's Professional Achievement Award in 2022 and was honored with the 2025 Robert J. Cirafesi Chancery Practice Award from the Middlesex County Bar Association.

Beyond the courtroom, Mr. Davidson remains an active voice in the legal community, regularly speaking at conferences such as the New Jersey Association for Justice and the New Jersey State Bar Association annual meeting, while also dedicating his time to philanthropic initiatives that promote legal access and strengthen community resilience throughout the region.

Special Licenses / Certifications

  • Court-Appointed Early Settlement Panelist (Chancery Mediator) The Early Settlement Program (ESP) provides mediation for divorcing couples. The goal is to help them reach an agreement on the terms of their divorce. ESP is an alternative to trial. Professional settlement coordinators run the program in each county. Settlement can shorten litigation time, save money, and ease some of the emotional burden of a divorce trial. For these reasons, it is in the best interest of the couple to try to settle their case at the ESP hearing. Under Court Rule 5.5-5, judges can refer couples to ESP. When this happens, participation is mandatory. Both parties must submit their papers to the ESP coordinator and the panelists at least five days before the hearing date. Failing to do so could result in the case being dismissed or having the pay the other party’s legal fees, 2022.
