Clinton W. Marrs

Clinton W. Marrs is the principal attorney at the firm Marrs Griebel Law, which has its offices in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Serving clients in New Mexico and countrywide, he focuses his practice on securities litigation, business litigation and dispute resolution, stockbroker malpractice, tax litigation, and trust and estates litigation.  

Mr. Marrs pursues legal action on behalf of clients who have suffered losses as a result of their financial adviser's improper securities brokerage and investment advice activities. Along with guiding his clients through difficult legal procedures, he offers them thoughtful and experienced advice. He effectively communicates throughout the entire case and advocates for their rights both inside and outside of the courtroom.

With a major in biology, Mr. Marrs graduated from Harvard University obtaining his undergraduate degree in 1979. He attended the University of New Mexico School of Law and earned his doctorate in jurisprudence in 1986. In law school, he was the notes and comments editor of the New Mexico Law Review.

After law school. Mr. Marrs started his legal career by joining the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., as a litigation attorney. While there, he was the recipient of the title Tax Division Outstanding Lawyer of the Year. Since moving back to New Mexico in 1990, he has defended clients in disputes involving federal and state tax laws, trusts, and other fiduciaries, as well as commercial and financial industry litigation and arbitration.

Authorized to practice law in New Mexico and the District of Columbia, Mr. Marrs is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico. For his noteworthy legal services, he has received a Distinguished* rating through Martindale-Hubbell. He has also served on the Business Law and Taxation Sections of the State Bar of New Mexico.
