Ian Fitzgerald King

The founder of King Law in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Ian Fitzgerald King is a criminal defense attorney representing clients in the New Mexico metro area and the surrounding regions. He lobbies on behalf of clients who are accused of various criminal charges. With deep insight into the criminal justice system, he uncovers the facts of the case and promptly builds defenses to get the charges reduced or dismissed.

Over the course of his successful career, Mr. King has represented many clients who were potentially facing prison, or even death penalty, after being accused of state or federal criminal charges such as manslaughter, vehicular homicide, murder, child abuse, robbery, domestic violence, assault, white collar crimes, aggravated DWI and drug crimes. He has defended several high-profile clients, whose cases were broadcasted on both local and national media.

A cum laude graduate of The University of New Mexico, Mr. King obtained his Bachelor of Arts in political science in 2002. He completed his legal education at The University of New Mexico School of Law and obtained his Juris Doctor in 2005. He is licensed to practice in both the state and federal courts of New Mexico. Prior to forming his own law firm, Mr. King worked as an assistant district attorney for Bernalillo County.

As a testament to Mr. King’s professionalism and vast legal acumen, the National Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys listed him in the Top 10 Criminal Defense Attorneys Under 40 in 2016 and 2017. He is a recipient of the Readers’ Choice Award by the Albuquerque Journal and the Client Satisfaction Award by the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys.
