Joseph Turner

Currently serving at Business Law Southwest in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Joseph Turner is a dedicated business litigation attorney providing services all across New Mexico. He represents businesses across industries and sizes, including local startups, family-owned businesses and multinational corporations, in all business litigation matters.

After graduating from Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts with a degree in the arts, Mr. Turner cultivated his artistic side as a documentary filmmaker in New York, California and New Mexico. He then turned to pursuing law, earning a Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico School of Law and later gaining admission to the State Bar of New Mexico in 2015. During his time at law school, he was consistently on the honor roll and graduated with distinction.

Mr. Turner's prior career as a filmmaker informs his approach to law, which skillfully incorporates his attention to detail and narrative-driven method of problem-solving. He also uses these abilities to create strong arguments and convincing court drafts. He also gains a great deal of insight into the aforementioned from his early work as a law clerk.

In business litigation matters, Mr. Turner advocates for clients in construction defect claims, employment contract controversies, medical malpractice actions and other complex litigation. He prioritizes maintaining his clients’ goals and customizes a legal approach accordingly.
