Julio C. Romero

A highly regarded civil trial attorney, Julio C. Romero is an associate at Martinez, Hart, Thompson & Sanchez, P.C. Based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he focuses his practice primarily on personal injury and wrongful death litigation, providing representation to clients throughout the state who have been harmed by the negligence of other people or companies. The types of cases that Mr. Romero has been involved in have included those arising out of truck and other motor vehicle collisions, premises liability, nursing home abuse or neglect, construction site accidents, and birth injuries and other forms of medical malpractice. He has been able to negotiate favorable settlements outside of the courtroom and obtain sizable jury awards on behalf of his clients.

In addition, Mr. Romero has experience in insurance litigation, including the representation of policy holders whose claims have been denied by their insurance companies in bad faith. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Mr. Romero attended The University of New Mexico in Albuquerque as an undergraduate, and in 2008 he received a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude with a major in history and a minor in chemistry. He then pursued his legal studies at The University of New Mexico School of Law and was awarded his Juris Doctor cum laude in 2014. While he was in law school, Mr. Romero was the student articles editor on the New Mexico Law Review. He also served as a teaching assistant in civil procedure. Prior to entering private practice, he clerked for a judge on the New Mexico Supreme Court. Admitted to practice in New Mexico, Mr. Romero is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico.
