She also is a member of the National Crime Victims Bar Association and a board member of the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association. At the University of Minnesota, she earned a Bachelor of Arts with a major in history and political science. She then went on to the University of New Mexico School of Law, where she earned a Juris Doctor in 2009. A passionate advocate for the members of her community, she has been given the Faculty Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Law School Community from her alma mater every year since 2009.
