Nicholas J. Trost

Nicholas J. Trost is an attorney at Parnall Law Firm, LLC, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he represents individuals who have suffered injuries due to the negligence of others. He brings a valuable and strategic perspective to his practice, having spent several years earlier in his career representing insurance companies in claims and litigation brought by injured parties. This experience provides him with an in-depth understanding of how insurers evaluate, defend and attempt to minimize claims – insight he now uses to advocate effectively for injured clients.

Mr. Trost grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he was shaped by a close-knit family that emphasized hard work, integrity and accountability. He attended Bosque School, where he received the Gerald R. Ford Character Award, an honor recognizing students who demonstrate strong ethical principles and the courage to follow their conscience. He has also been recognized as a Bosque alumnus who exemplifies the school’s core values of scholarship, community, and integrity through his professional and civic contributions.

Mr. Trost earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in communications-journalism from the University of Washington, graduating magna cum laude in 2010. During his undergraduate studies, he worked in the newsroom at KIRO-7 TV, Seattle’s CBS affiliate, an experience that sharpened his communication skills and helped inspire his decision to pursue a legal career. He returned to New Mexico to attend The University of New Mexico School of Law, where he served on the New Mexico Law Review and the ABA Moot Court Team. He earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 2013.

Following law school, Mr. Trost began his legal career handling insurance defense matters primarily. While representing plaintiffs on select cases, he discovered a strong preference for advocating on behalf of injured individuals. That realization ultimately led him to join Parnall Law Firm, LLC, where he focuses exclusively on helping clients seek accountability and fair compensation. Mr. Trost is admitted to practice in New Mexico, the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico, the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit and is a member of the American Bar Association.
