Representing clients throughout the United States in immigration appeals, criminal appeals and post-conviction appeals, Scott M. Davidson is an experienced, accomplished attorney with The Law Office of Scott M. Davidson. With over two decades in state and federal courts, he has also represented clients from Vietnam, Nigeria, Mexico, Ireland, Iran, Honduras, Guatemala, Germany and Cuba.
Mr. Davidson is passionate about education and has studied in many several different states and countries. At Trinity University in 1984, he graduated with his Bachelor of Arts, then attended Yale University, where he graduated with a Master of Arts and a Ph.D. Between undergraduate school and graduate school, he attended Macalester College, King’s College in London and the Institut de la Mediterranee in France.
He then moved on to law school at the University of New Mexico, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 1996. Since 1985, he has taught at several different schools, including Yale University, the University of South Carolina and the University of New Mexico School of Law. Mr. Davidson is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the New Mexico Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and a former member of the American Association for Justice.
Admitted to practice in the state of New Mexico, Mr. Davidson also has experience in many federal courts. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th, 9th and 10th Circuits, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
