New Mexico medical malpractice attorney, Thomas Wood, is a partner at his father's law firm, James Wood Law. He currently fights for clients across the entire state of New Mexico, who have either suffered the loss of a loved one or suffered a serious permanent injury as a result of medical malpractice.
Mr. Wood is admitted to practice in New Mexico state courts, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th circuit.
Prior to studying and practicing law, Mr. Wood received an undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 2008, graduating cum laude, and later completed a master's degree in Theological Studies at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 2011.
In 2014, Mr. Wood graduated cum laude from law the University of New Mexico School of Law, where he served on the New Mexico Law Review's Editorial Board and worked as a teaching assistant for the law school's first-year legal writing class.
After completing law school, Mr. Wood worked for the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender as a deputy state public defender. His experience with the Colorado Public Defender's Office shaped his passion for defending the rights of the underprivileged.
After working as a public defender, Mr. Wood joined his father's firm, where he continues to fight for clients against corporations, hospitals, and insurance companies on behalf of the underprivileged and victims of medical negligence.
