Lauren Law Barela

At Gauthier & Maier Law Firm, P.C., in Los Lunas, New Mexico, Lauren Law Barela passionately stands by her clients across the entire state. Ms. Barela's academic journey began with her graduating summa cum laude from The University of New Mexico's Honors College in 2006, where she majored in criminology and minored in mathematics. She then pursued her Juris Doctor at The University of New Mexico School of Law, graduating magna cum laude in 2011. 

During her law school years, Ms. Barela earned the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in 2010 for ethics and legal research and writing, and again in 2011 for secured transactions and insurance law. She is authorized to practice in both state and federal courts in New Mexico.

Since graduating, Ms. Barela further honed her legal acumen by attending the esteemed Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College in July 2019. An upstanding figure in the legal circle, she is an active member of several organizations, including the New Mexico Christian Legal Aid, the American Bar Association, the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association and the State Bar of New Mexico.
