Joel C. Simon

As a member of the firm Simon Perdue Law, Joel C. Simon works out of the Santa Fe office of New Mexico and focuses his practice in the areas of personal injury law. He represents individuals who have suffered catastrophic injuries or lost a loved one due to the negligent and reckless actions of a third party.

Mr. Simon earned his law degree at the University of Houston Law Center, where he graduated magna cum laude in 2004. While in law school, Mr. Simon was an editor on the law review and a member of the moot court team. Prior to law school, he graduated cum laude from Ohio University. Today, he is admitted to practice in all Texas state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Simon has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of cases, including business litigation, environmental lawsuits and even criminal prosecution. Before joining Simon Perdue Law, he served in multiple firms throughout Texas. Working as an associate in one of the largest law firms in the country, he served on multiple trial teams in high-profile cases, including one involving one of the largest oil refinery explosions ever recorded on the Gulf Coast. He has also served as a volunteer prosecutor for the city of Houston, helping to secure guilty verdicts in more than 20 jury trials.

Committed to professional development, Mr. Simon maintains memberships in several professional organizations, including the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the Houston Bar Association. His efforts have been recognized with several awards, including those by America’s Best Advocates, the Texas Monthly and the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys. He has had his work published in legal publications and has been a speaker at various continuing legal education seminars focused on corporate crisis management.
