Joleen K. Youngers

Joleen K. Youngers is a co-founder of Youngers Law, PA, a law firm with offices in Las Cruces and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Focusing her practice primarily on civil litigation, she represents clients throughout the state in matters involving wrongful death, personal injury, premises liability, civil rights violations, discrimination and whistleblower complaints, and professional malpractice. 

After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts with high distinction from the University of Iowa, where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, Ms. Youngers earned an M.A. from New Mexico State University. She then attended the University of New Mexico School of Law, winning the school's annual Tort Scholar Award and receiving her Juris Doctor in 1992. Admitted to practice in New Mexico since 1992, Ms. Youngers is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico.

In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Youngers frequently lectures and coaches on topics such as trial skills, deposition skills and professional ethics. She has given presentations in front of gatherings of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association and the Paralegal Division of the State Bar of New Mexico.  Ms. Youngers also is an adjunct professor at the University of New Mexico School of Law, where she co-teaches Evidence and Trial Practice.

Ms. Youngers serves on the Board of New Mexico Ethics Watch, a non-partisan organization promoting good government and ethics.  She also has been a long-time member of the Board New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association.
