Attorney Samuel Gregory is the managing partner with the Law Offices of Samuel Gregory, P.C., in Brooklyn, New York. From his law firm, Mr. Gregory represents clients throughout New York City's five boroughs as well as the surrounding areas of New Jersey who face serious state and federal criminal charges.
Widely regarded as one of the top criminal defense attorneys in the region, Mr. Gregory has defended the rights and liberties of his clients for more than 25 years. During that time, he has achieved unprecedented success obtaining favorable verdicts on behalf of his clients, securing acquittals in 85 percent of the cases he has handled. In fact, Mr. Gregory holds the distinction of being the first criminal defense attorney to obtain an acquittal in a death penalty case for a client facing a first-degree murder charge in 1997.
A graduate of Boston University, Mr. Gregory attended New York Law School, where he obtained his Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 1984. That same year, both the New York State Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association admitted him to practice, and he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit. Upon receiving his license to practice, Mr. Gregory began his career serving with the Legal Aid Society as a public defender for several years before establishing his own private practice in 1991.
Possessing an extensive amount of knowledge and experience regarding criminal defense law, Mr. Gregory has served as a trial advocacy professor for St. John's University School of Law. He has also conducted seminars for the Kings County Criminal Bar Association, where he serves on their board of directors, and in 2016, he won the association's Man of the Year award. In addition, he has appeared as an analyst on numerous television news programs, and he holds an AV Preeminent peer review rating* from Martindale-Hubbell.
