He then earned his Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School in 1975 and served as counsel to the New York City Council and as an assistant prosecutor for the state of New York.

    Mr. Kerson is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and the state of New York and before the United States District Court of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. As a member of the Queens Historical Society, he gives back to his community through his volunteer work.

    A member of the New York State Bar Association, Mr. Kerson is also actively involved with the Queens Legal Services Corporation. Along with business and family disputes, and civil, estate and criminal litigation, Mr. Kerson represents clients who are seeking a divorce and those who are facing criminal charges. After 30 years of practicing law, he has gained extensive experience in state, local and federal courts.
