Attorney Allyson D. Burger is a Partner at the highly respected Garden City law office of Saltzman Chetkof & Rosenberg LLP. At the firm, Ms. Burger assists clients from Long Island, the New York City metropolitan area and throughout New York state who have legal needs in the areas of matrimonial and family law, with a focus on high net worth divorces, fathers' rights, domestic violence and same-sex family law issues.

Ms. Burger earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2004 from Lehigh University and a law degree from Yeshiva University Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2009. Months later, New York State approved her to practice law in its courtrooms.

While working as a clinical extern for Lawyers for Children, a child welfare advocacy program, Ms. Burger found that family law was her calling. She went on to work as a summer associate for a large New York family law firm during her last summer as a law student. After earning her law degree, she worked as an associate attorney for two family law firms in the area before joining Saltzman Chetkof & Rosenberg LLP in 2012.

Since joining her current firm, Ms. Burger has earned a reputation as a dedicated client advocate with extensive legal knowledge. She was selected as a New York Metro Area Super Lawyers "Rising Star" in tthe area of family law in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.  She presently serves as Chair of the American Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division "Children and the Law" Committee and is the outgoing Chair of the American Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division "Family Law Committee".  Ms. Burger was selected among the "Top Women in Law" by Hofstra Law's Center for Children, Families and Law in 2016. She has published a number of family law-related articles in the New York State Bar Association's Family Law Review and American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Committee on Children and the Law Newsletter. The Nassau County Bar Association's Young Lawyers Committee named her the Young Lawyer of the Month in February 2014. 

Attorney Burger is not only a recipient of recognition from the legal community, but also an active member. She is a member of several legal associations, including The New York Family Law American Inn of Court, the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York and the American Bar Association. Ms. Burger has presented and lectured before the Nassau County Bar Association's Matrimonial Law Committee, the New York Family Law American Inn of Court, the Nassau County Bar Association's Nassau Academy of Law and the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division.
