The founder of the Law Offices of Seidner & Associates, PC, Matthew S. Seidner focuses his practice on a variety of family law matters, and he has elder law experience as well. Based in Garden City, he represents clients throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties and other parts of the greater New York City metropolitan area. Admitted to practice in New York since 2003, Mr. Seidner is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York as well as before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Many of Mr. Seidner’s clients are people whose marriages are breaking down, and they turn to him for assistance in dealing with such divorce-related issues as child custody and visitation, the division of marital assets and debts, alimony and child support. His experience in this regard also encompasses divorces involving spouses who are serving in the military and this comes with its own set of procedures. Mr. Seidner often takes the lead in attempting to negotiate a comprehensive settlement agreement, but if this turns out to be unfruitful and mediation sessions fail to reach an accord, he is a forceful courtroom advocate on behalf of his clients.
Mr. Seidner has also helped clients who have already gotten a divorce and who are now seeking the enforcement of or modifications to existing parenting and court orders, and his family law experience has additionally entailed his obtaining protective orders for victims of domestic violence. Highly respected by his colleagues, he has received an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a 10.0 "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo. After graduating from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University, he worked for prestigious law firms in New York City before founding his current firm.
