    In 1991, Mr. Colavecchio was first admitted to practice law by the State of New York and is now admitted to practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He graduated from State University of New York at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Arts in history and political science in 1987, then obtained a Juris Doctor in 1990 from Hofstra University School of Law.

    Mr. Colavecchio has several written and orally argued appeals before the federal and state appellate courts in New York to add to his impressive trial resume, including three before the First and Second Department Appellate Divisions in one year. A passionate part of the legal community, he is a member of the torts, insurance and compensation law section of the New York State Bar Association, the New York State Medical Defense Bar Association, the Suffolk County Bar Association Judicial Screening Committee, the Nassau Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Suffolk County Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association.
