Admitted to practice in New York, Mr. Sanders is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. Since founding his firm in 1967, he has been instrumental in obtaining numerous sizable settlements and jury awards for his clients. One representative matter was a $5 million pretrial settlement in a birth injury case brought against a major health care facility. His successes have earned Mr. Sanders the recognition of his fellow attorneys, as evidenced by his receipt of a "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo.

An active participant in the Nassau County Bar Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice and the Supreme Court of the State of New York Mr. Sanders is involved in several civic activities as well. He has served on the board of directors of the Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center of Nassau County, and he is a former officer and board member of the Shelter Rock Jewish Center.  Mr. Sanders has been on the Board of the Library of the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York for many years.   He has been involved in many other charities.   At two Christian Churches Mr. Sanders has established scholarships for deserving poor children.  Mr. Sanders has established scholarships at Brooklyn Law School and at the Jewish Theological Seminary.  He was institutional in building a Nursery School at his Synagogue, The Shelter Rock Jewish Center.   He was also instrumental in building a Holocaust Center in Glen Cove.   He was part of the Committee that built a gym at the North Shore YM&WHA.
