As a partner at Miedel & Mysliwiec LLP, Aaron Mysliwiec is committed to representing clients across the country as well as in Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island, the Bronx, and the eastern and southern districts of New York. He focuses his practice on criminal defense, handling cases that involve civil litigation, appeals and collateral proceedings, extradition and international matters, state and federal criminal defense, regulatory enforcement actions, grand jury investigations and white collar crimes.

While earning a Bachelor of Arts from Carleton College, Mr. Mysliwiec served as president of the student association and received The Dana Award for Personal Achievement. Upon graduation, he attended the Georgetown University Law Center, where he earned a Juris Doctor in 1997. While in law school, Mr. Mysliwiec was a member of the mock trial team and participated in the criminal justice clinic, representing people charged with misdemeanor offenses.

With more than 15 years of experience, Mr. Mysliwiec has successfully represented hundreds of clients, both businesses and people who face criminal charges. In an assault case, Mr. Mysliwiec kept a client from having a criminal record by entering a non-jail plea. In another case, charges were dropped against a client who faced up to 25 years in prison for an alleged multimillion-dollar Ponzi scheme. For his achievements, Mr. Mysliwiec has earned an Avvo “Superb” rating and was named in The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100.

In addition to sharing his knowledge with others through lectures, Mr. Mysliwiec is a published author and provides leadership to the legal community through serving as president of the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.   • Obtained acquittal at trial for a client charged with conspiracy to distribute 50 kilos of cocaine. 
  • Obtained a dismissal of all charges for a construction industry company executive facing contract fraud and regulatory violation accusations that involved a potential sentence of up to 25 years jail. 
  • Obtained a dismissal of New York State grand larceny charges for a client allegedly involved in a Ponzi scheme and successfully negotiated with federal law enforcement authorities to avoid additional federal charges. 
  • Conducted a fast, efficient, and thorough internal investigation for a multi-million dollar, privately held company facing a robust law enforcement investigation into allegations of contract and labor fraud.
