A graduate of New York University, Leonard N. Stern School of Business, Mr. Buzin also earned a master's degree from the University of Miami School of Business Administration. He earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law, where he graduated cum laude.

Mr. Buzin is admitted to practice in the state courts of both New York and Florida, as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Florida, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. He is also a licensed New York real estate broker.

While practicing with a Florida law firm, Mr. Buzin focused on general negligence and malpractice cases, and also handled more than 100 separate asbestos claims. Over the course of his legal career, he has been involved in numerous cases that resulted in multimillion-dollar verdicts or settlements for his clients.

Mr. Buzin also teaches legal writing and lawyering skills courses at New York City's Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University. He is a member of professional organizations including the American Association for Justice, Florida Justice Association, the Melvin M. Belli Society, and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.
