Attorney Profile

Over the last ten years the focus of Estate Planning Practitioners has dramatically shifted from merely transferring wealth for the sake of saving money on income taxes, to protecting money from the effects of living longer lives and taking advantage of government programs available to those who deserve them. The nature of people's wealth has also shifted from guaranteed income, such as pensions and Social Security, to asset preservation and more flexible income tax planning, such as IRAs and more complex employer-sponsored benefit plans. The days of attorneys merely preparing legal documents have come and gone.

It is my desire to assist individuals in helping them maintain their dignity while continuing to protect their wealth from the financially-deleterious effects of prolonged lives. Clients must focus on themselves more than ever, and come to an understanding that maintaining a healthy financial life well into one's Golden Years is both emotionally and financially more responsible than transferring assets in a knee-jerk fashion. Working with attorneys who focus on limited fields of legal work can benefit both client and atorney, and are the future standard of the profession and the attorney / client relationship.

I look forward to helping those who wish to live long, comfortable futures in which fear is minimized, legacies are are secondary to life, and family burdens are nonexistent.
