Mr. Hirsch also has an active real estate litigation practice in which he represents a number of clients who own large portfolios of multi-family and commercial real estate in the New York area. Finally, Mr. Hirsch has in-depth experience representing employers and employees in non-compete and other types of restrictive covenant litigation.      

Among his many high profile cases, Mr. Hirsch handled an $80 million claw back claim in the context of a hedge fund wind down and settled a derivative claim on behalf of investors in a hedge fund for $18.9 million. He has secured numerous favorable trial verdicts and appellate decisions on behalf of his clients.

In 1987, Mr. Hirsch earned a Bachelor of Arts from Union College. He then received a Juris Doctor in 1990 from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where he was a member of the school’s law review. A published author, he is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st, 2nd and District of Columbia Circuits as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
