The managing partner of the New York, New York, office of Lewis Johs Avallone Aviles, LLP, Eileen H. Libutti is a strong and passionate representative for her clients. Ms. Libutti established the firm's Special Education Practice Group, through which she helps to represent children and their families as they go through the individualized education plan process. Through this practice area, she has led a team that has helped numerous children with learning and developmental disabilities get the specialized services they need to succeed in school.

Ms. Libutti also defends hospitals, other health care facilities and doctors when they are sued for alleged medical malpractice. In her defense practice, she works closely with her clients from the beginning of their cases all the way through the end. She also represents corporate clients when they are sued for negligence in premises liability and other cases.

A recipient of a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University in 1988, Ms. Libutti pursued her legal education at the New York Law School and was awarded her Juris Doctor in 1991. Before coming to work for her current firm, she previously gained experience working in the medical malpractice defense practice of another law firm. Admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, Ms. Libutti has been with Lewis Johs Avallone Aviles, LLP, for the past 22 years in increasingly responsible roles.

Ms. Libutti has received several honors and awards for her dedication and practice. In 2003, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society gave her its MS Leadership Class Award, and in that same year, the Court Officers Benevolent Association of Nassau County gave her its Jurisperitus Award. Ms. Libutti actively participates in the American, New York State and Nassau County bar associations.
