Francesca Giannoni-Crystal

Expertise: Ms. Giannoni-Crystal holds two JDs, one from Italy (110/110) and one from the US (cum laude). In her almost twenty years of practice in Italy and the US (mostly transactional and compliance work) she has provided assistance (including in M&A) to a wide range of clients (technology companies, industrial & commercial companies, banks & financial institutions, law firms). She was a consultant for Italian Employer’s Association, she worked for Deloitte Legal, she was in-house, several years, for an internet and mobile-content group. Working in house, she had direct responsibility for international technology agreements, privacy and T&C issues, especially for the foreign companies of the group (e.g., Spain, Germany, France, US, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, China and Australia); she also coordinated a team of local counsel and dealt with corporate issues and technology agreements. She is one of the founding member of Crystal & Giannoni-Crystal, LLC in the U.S.  Ms. Giannoni-Crystal has written extensively and spoken both domestically and internationally on a number of topics in the fields of technology and privacy, professional responsibility, and contract law. She is co-responsible for the website Technethics (www.technethics.com), a blogging and training platform in fields of ethics/technology and privacy.  

Admissions: She is admitted as an attorney in the state of New York and the District of Columbia, as an avvocato in Italy, and as a foreign legal consultant (not a member of SC Bar) in South Carolina.  She is admitted to the United States District and Bankruptcy Courts  for the District of Columbia.
