Staying active in the legal community, Ms. Gandarez is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, the National Association of Women Lawyers and the board of directors of the Portuguese American Chamber of Commerce. Her professional activities extend into pro bono work for high-profile nonprofit organizations.

Her experience includes the following: compliance audits for multinational corporations; acquisitions and mergers, and their impact on foreign employees; assisting with E Treaty status registration for a Spanish biopharmaceutical company; and advising businesses about immigration matters such as employment verification procedures, acquiring temporary employment visas, permanent residence issues, immigration discrimination and employer sanctions.

Working to expand the firm’s nationwide diversity efforts, Ms. Gandarez also serves as the diversity ambassador for the New York office. She is a knowledgeable, compassionate force when it comes to representing clients both big and small.
