Matthew L. Guadagno has been admitted to practice law since 1994. He has had a solo practice specializing in immigration law since 2011. Before starting his solo practice, Mr. Guadagno spent 13 years working at one of New York's top deportation defense firms.
Mr. Guadagno has successfully litigated immigration cases throughout the United States. Mr. Guadagno has argued numerous cases in the federal courts that have resulted in precedent decisions. He has argued before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Mr. Guadagno is regularly asked to speak at continuing legal education classes on topics relating to immigration law. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association ("AILA"). He has been on the Amicus Committee of AILA, the advisory board to the Legal Action Committee of the American Immigration Council, and the advisory board to Brooklyn Defender Services. Mr. Guadagno is an adjunct professor at Brooklyn Law School, where he teaches a course that he created on deportation defense.
